Porter (DD-356) 1941-1942 Class Color Profiles

Color profiles for the following Porter (DD-356) Class destroyers as modified 1941-1942. Specifications for this configuration of the Porter Class were taken from Ships' Data U.S. Naval Vessels, 1942. Displacement: 1,850 tons standard, 2,131 tons trial. Dimensions: 381'-0" overall, 371'-0" waterline 36'-2" beam, 16'-6" max. draft. Speed: 36.5 knots (trial). Armament: four twin 5-in./38 cal. MK 22 gun mounts (see Note), two quadruple 1.1-in. MK 1 gun mounts, five single 20mm MK 4 gun mounts, two quadruple 21-in. MK XII torpedo tube mounts, and two depth charge release tracks (for 600 lb. charges) and two port and two starboard single K-Gun depth charge projectors (for 300 lb. charges). Radar: one SC air search radar set and one SG surface search radar set. Fire Control: two MK 35 directors/surface GFCS/MK 3 radar. Sonar: one QC set. Complement/Accommodations: 2 cabin, 13 wardroom, 14 CPO, and 211 enlisted.

Note: The MK 22 gun mount was a single purpose mount with a maximum elevation of 35 degrees.
